Why choose our Private Autism Assessments?
When seeking a diagnosis for your child, the quality and acceptance of the assessment reports are everything. Here's what sets our service apart from the rest:
Trusted and Recognised Reports
-
NICE Compliant: Our assessments strictly follow the latest guidelines set by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). This is the official UK benchmark for quality healthcare.
-
Expert Team: Your child's assessment is conducted by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained Autism Specialist Educational Psychologists and Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapists.
-
Widely Accepted: Our comprehensive reports are fully recognised and accepted by local authorities, including schools and the NHS, ensuring a smooth path to future support.
The Gold Standard in Diagnosis
We use the most respected diagnostic tools available to provide the most accurate outcome for your family:
ADOS-2 & ADi-R: Our clinicians are certified and highly experienced in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2 (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADi-R).
Thorough Assessment: These world leading tools provide the essential framework our specialists uses to determine whether a child meets the official criteria for an autism diagnosis.

The result is a diagnosis you can trust, delivered with confidence and compassion.
Our Comprehensive Autism Assessment Process
Gaining an accurate diagnosis requires a deep understanding of your child. That's why we use a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach, which is the gold standard in diagnostic care.

Our MDT conducts a clinical evaluation built on 3 pillars:
1) detailed information gathering from you (the parent/carer),
2) observations of your child and 3) the use of clinically recognised tools. This multi-angled view ensures we capture the full picture, leading to the most reliable diagnosis for your child's Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Our Assessment Process: A Step-by-Step Guide
Information Gathering
We will need you and your child’s school to compete a questionnaire to gain deeper insights into how your child communicates and interacts with others and any specific challenges they experience.
Parent Meeting
A key part of the assessment is understanding your child’s current and early childhood, which is why you will meet with our psychologist to go into quite a lot of depth about your child’s developmental history using the ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised).
Child Assessment
Your child will meet with a trained member of the team, who will spend some time using toys, games and conversation to understand how your child sees the world. Whilst it should be a fun experience for your child, the examiner will be using an evidence-based tool to assess your child against the criteria relevant to autism. This tool is called the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule).
Diagnostic Report
After your child’s assessment, our clinicians will compile all the gathered information into a comprehensive report. You will receive a bespoke diagnostic report with personalised recommendations three weeks from the date of the feedback meeting.
Parental Feedback
Our psychologist will meet with you virtually to discuss and explain the findings of your child's autism assessment.
Team Discussion
After the assessment, the team will meet to thoroughly review all available information. They will then determine whether your child meets the DSM-V criteria for autism or whether their presentation can be better explained by something else, for example, anxiety or learning difficulties.

Minimum Age for Assessment: We accept referrals for children from 4 years to 25 years old
